Dental Veneers
Thin porcelain or composite facings bonded to the front of teeth.
A veneer is a thin facing bonded to the front surface of a tooth to change its colour, shape or position. Porcelain veneers are made in a laboratory; composite veneers are built up directly at the chair in a single visit.
Most porcelain veneers require some reduction of the natural tooth surface, and that is irreversible — the tooth will need a veneer or crown from then on. This is worth understanding clearly before starting, which is why veneer cases usually begin with a smile design assessment.
